"I don't trust that. Your kind lies. It's alright. If they wont listen, then.. I'll just kill you." Nevaeh wasn't exactly bluffing, but she had a plan. A plan that took her all the way back to that night, when she had been five.
She had been five years old, and her brother that she had been living with since she was little was the only person she would talk to. The only person she could trust. They told each other everything, or, at least she thought they did. Her precious brother had been hiding something. Something big. Like her, he had been a hunter under the king, but one of his expeditions had gone wrong, and he had been bitten. He started living a double life- One week with his sister, his human wife, and his two sons, and then the next week with his mate, who was expecting a pup. He didn't have a choice, he lied, when the truth eventually came to light. It was their nature. It was all he could do. There was screaming, and yelling, and a five-year-old Nevaeh hid under her bed in disbelief. When she came out that morning, there was blood.. Everywhere. Her brother's wife had killed herself in the dead of night, unable to live with the shame of him being one of them. And then her brother, oh, she wouldn't even call it her brother anymore..
And then, It had killed her nephews, out of some blood-thirsty rage. Nevaeh found It, still standing over one of their bodies. She was shocked to silence for some time, but, her common since took over, and she grabbed one of the silver-coated knives from the rack on the wall, and drove it between his shoulder blades, killing him.
The town called her a hero, but for a while, Nevaeh felt like a monster.
She didn't feel like a monster now, not as she flung the silver knife into the wall near the door, stepping back. "Go, then," She ordered, pointing at the door. She didn't care if he couldn't walk, she didn't trust him. He could drag himself out. -
"You're cold...Like all humans. All you do is destroy. Your existence is far more monstrous than ours." Rhonen growled while forcing himself towards the door, keeping an eye on her to make sure she didn't try anything. He knew he wouldn't have the strength to fight her, but even with the few that had come for him, she wouldn't be able to handle against them. No matter how good she thought she was as a Hunter.
He groaned from pained as he gripped the doorframe to pull himself up. This woman, closing and locking up the door then telling him to get out on his own. He should let his father call the shots, lead the charge, but he was raised better and knew that his mother wouldn't have it. And once he opened that door, there they stood, waiting. Rhonen smiled weakly at his father as he took the support they offered. "Don't bother with a fight. She isn't worth it. No human is.. Let's just go home, so I can get some salve."
The Alpha male narrowed his eyes into the cabin but remained silent with lips formed into a straight line. Rhonen admitted that he was rather surprised by how calm his father was, not used to him going with what the younger said. He remembered being a child and being told the only way to find peace was to avoid conflict, but the Chief found it difficult to run away due to his own sense of pride. -
As soon as the creature was out, Nevaeh ran forward, grabbed the knife out of the wall, and flung it blindly, knocking an arrow in the second it would take the blade to reach it's target. She aimed the bow in their direction, not caring to check and see if the knife had hit anything. She took a step forward, changing her target to the beast that must have been the alpha- He was bigger, and the way of his body language proved that she was right.
-
The female protectively grabbed the knife before it could hit her child, growling and letting it drop to the ground after the silver burned the flesh of her palm. Their fellows were clearly faster, and willingly stood beside their leader. The Alpha sneered at the hunter, checking on his life mate, then glared back at Neveah. "Grab her. She's a threat to us, so we need to restrain her." His voice was gruff, low, and commanding. Rhonen simply lowered his head with a sigh, wishing he'd never been caught in that stupid trap. He should've seen it there, but he wasn't paying attention when he should've been.
-
She inhaled a sharp little breath at the order, but her lip tipped in a smile. Oh, she loved a fight. And if they managed to restrain her, she'd at least be able to take one or two of them down first. After a second, she aimed the arrow at the smallest of the bunch, letting it fly, before grabbing yet another of her knives as she dropped the bow. She took as step back, grinning. "Come on, then. What're you waiting for?"
-
The werewolves changed almost immediately, rushing the Hunter while their fellow yelled out from the arrow. Rhonen looked over at the smallest, watching him struggle to remove the silver. No major organs hit, no death. He let a breath then felt his mother begin to pull him away from the conflict. "I suppose your father will take care of it.. Come. She can't follow if we get you away first. She'll never keep up with them if they decide to let her go." He could hear the clear distaste in the shewolf's voice. The similar distaste for violence that he shared.

(They need to take her to the nest somehoooow)
Nevaeh narrowed her eyes, taking quick steps back, all the way to the back wall. She hadn't even thought of escaping before she felt the glass of the window against her back. The grin on her face brightened- No, there was no way she could take on a group of werewolves like this. Without thinking, she swung her fist back, breaking the glass, turned, and propelled herself out of the window. She hit the ground running, covered in little nicks of blood. Of course, she couldn't out run a wolf, but her sudden change of course would confuse them and give her time- Time, luckily enough, to climb a tree, using her knife until it broke. Wolves couldn't climb, she thought, with satisfaction, so either they would turn to climb after her, or give up completely.
(She should fall out of the tree tbh) -
(They can jump though...
During the Full Moon ;u; )
Growling in both anger and annoyance, the small group of wolves made their way around the cabin's exterior, following her to the tree she'd decided to hide in. Sharp teeth bared, maws snapping open and closed with the usual canine saliva, the wolves waited. The Alpha, having yet to change, leisurely walked up too the trunk, gazing up at the Hunter. "You've invaded our home and set harm to my son. You Hunters think you're tough, yet here you are hiding in the branches." A light 'tch' sound came from behind his teeth. "Quit being a coward and face the fact that you've been captured."
(They'll catch her. or let her hit her head first then drag her along) -
(Not that high, I would hope. She's like, twenty feet off the ground.)
The girl laughed, leaning against the trunk of the tree. "There's a difference between being brave and being stupid. Coming down would be stupid, as I'm clearly out numbered." She drew one of her lasts silver knives, waving it at him. "And, anyways, I'm not captured yet. You'll have to go home at some point, but I'm perfectly fine staying right were I am," She teased, grinning down as them. -
(With Full Moon, they can jump buildings
totally not getting ideas from that manga
Without, they jump like regular people)
"We can wait." The chief folded his arms, staring up at her. The group had no intention of going anywhere without their pack leader. As much as he'd rather climb the tree and rip that girl apart, he would wait for her to get tired. Or fall. Whichever came first. "The only reason we're even letting a cocky thing like you live is because you aren't worth killing." -
(Holy crap that's horrifying oh gosh)
"Mm.. Too bad, huh? Well, whatever. I think I'm gonna look around a bit." With that, Nevaeh let her attention turn to the branches. They were woven in with that of other trees, and yet another idea was sparking in her mind. She had seen squirrels travel from tree to tree, so, of course, she could do the same. Or, at least, she should have been able to. It was alright for a bit, carefully moving above the forest floor. She didn't check to see if the beasts were following her, and, to be honest, she didn't care. For a while, it was fine. Until she came across a nest of wasps- Worse than werewolves, almost. She hated the things, and didn't see them until one stung her arm. With a start, she let out a little scream, and tried to move away- Loosing her footing, and falling some thirty something feet. -

(Thing is Alira's completely indestructable during the Full Moon, but we don't do that here. Silver will kill ya, full moon or not.)
The werewolves, having returned to the human forms had kept pace, watching her move the branches the way common dogs watched squirrels. Desperately wanting to catch that prey, but not wanting to risk getting stuck in the trees themselves. That's when they got their opportunity, seeing as the Hunter lost her footing, there was no way she could escape their grasp now. And they were prepared to put her to bed once they had to avoid a further struggle. -

(Yeeeee murdeeeer)
Nevaeh somehow managed to hit the ground on her feet, absorbing the shock a little too hard in her left ankle- It twisted, snapped, and she fell, letting out a sharp scream of agony. As the werewolves approached, she drew her last knife, having lost the other one in the fall. The hunter drew in a shaky breath, pulling herself backwards, so that her back was against a tree. Her ankle was broken, she thought, glimpsing down at it. The only reason for her skull not being broken was probably all the branches she had hit on her way down, slowing her descent. Nevaeh felt the urge to throw up, waves of pain and nausea washing over her as she let out soft, gaspy cries.
