"I don't like it," he answered, though he figured that was the obvious way to say it. "Well, I don't like people. They kind of scare me," he admitted, this, too, being something he'd already made obvious.

Lucas smiled. "They're not all that bad. Besides, once it gets a little later there really aren't many people at all." He explained, hoping that might help Marco to relax a bit.

Marco focused on Lucas, deciding to believe that it wasn't so bad. He didn't like being touched, but it was alright to be fawned over a little. "I guess that's okay." The fox laid his head down, yawning. He was still tired, after having slept on the front steps the night before. The door opened again, signaling that the teenage girls were leaving.

Lucas smiled a little as the girls exited, the little bell hanging above the doorframe jingling cheerfully as the peaceful atmosphere of the shop was returned. "Yeah, besides the teenagers it's really not so bad." He followed Marco's actions and laid his own head down with a small yawn, tail curling around himself.

Marco, with a bit of maneuvering, managed to kick his boots off without sitting up. They stayed at the end of the blanket, while he tucked his knees up a bit. There was still plenty of sunlight left in the day, but he said to Lucas, "G'night."

"Good night!" Lucas replied. He didn't plan on actually going to sleep, as it was still fairly early, but the customers were more likely to leave them alone if they both just layed there. Nornally Lucas loved the attention, but seeing as Marco hated it, he decided it would be best not to have a bunch of people surrounding the cage.

Marco tucked his face under his arm, both toward off the light and the attention of people. Within a few minutes, he was snoried softly, having fallen asleep.

Lucas laughed softly to himself, hearing Marco's quiet snoring. He looked cute, all tucked in like that. He was so timid, it made Lucas feel obligated to protect him, and he hated seeing how uncomfortable that girl had made him. He decided that from now on he would make sure Marco wasn't bothered by anyone else.

Marco slept for a good four hours. A long nap, but much needed. When he woke up, the light coming into the shop through the window was a bit pinker, and the only customers were a young couple, focusing on another hybrid. With a yawn, Marco stretched out, then sat up.

Lucas was sitting diligently by the cage door, diverting any attention away from the sleeping fox. When he heard a noise behind him, he glanced over his shoulder and smiled. "You're awake!"

Marco nodded, sitting cross-legged. "Mhm," he hummed, looking at Lucas. The dog hybrid had moved from the cushion to sit by the cage door. Marco tilted to peek past him for a moment, trying to see if there was a reason he was there. He dismissed the fact that the only people in the store were twenty feet away. "I've gotta pee," he stated, at first thinking nothing of it; before remembering that he wasn't in the woods and he couldn't just do that wherever he wanted. "Where do I do that?"

Lucas pointed to a door past the counter. "Bathroom in the back. The nice lady won't mind you getting out if you're only using the bathroom." He explained with a smile.

Marco, to be honest, had no idea what a bathroom was. Sure he'd heard the word before, but when he blindly nodded, in the back of his mind he was wondering what there was in a bathroom. "Ah, okay, okay," he said, getting up and going to the door. He unlocked it, stepped out, and shut it behind himself. He quickly went in the direction that Lucas had pointed him in, and when he opened the door, he sucked in a breath- there were a bunch of white, porclein-looking things mounted to the wall, and bigger ones in individual stalls.

Lucas suddenly realized that Marco probably had no idea what he was doing, living in the forest and all. He slipped out of the cage and to the back beside the counter, knocking lightly on the door. "Uh...Marco? You want me to explain?"
