Jake crouched beside her. "I don't want to sound like I'm complaining."

She shrugged and sat up slightly. "Everyone complains." She chuckled but eyed his legs like they were something new. Well, they were to her. Blinking back up at him she flipped over to sit on her butt and scooted up next to him once more.

He took a deep breath. "I lost my mom when I was 6, my dad two years ago. I was part of a group called the Navy SEALS, but this happened," he pulled his shirt up a bit, revealing many scars. "I lost my fiancee, and our unborn kid, seven months ago."

She frowned and started lightly tracing his scars with her fingers. "Navy Seals? Sounds funny." Sits back pulling her hands away. "I lost my mother when I was seven, I still have my dad, and I lost my sister not to long ago." Watches the waves. "I don't carry the scars you do but we both carry the same cars on our hearts."

He shuddered at her touch. Nodding, he said, "I just immerse myself in work."

She shrugged. "I keep swimming." She smiled. "Just keep swimming. That's wha my mom used to sing." She watched the moon twinkle in the sky.

He laughed, "thats a line from a human thing," he said, looking at the stars.

"Really? Tell me. What's it like up here?" Looks at him with her eyes big and full of curiosity.

"Its, active, loud, fast..." he said. "Its better to experiance it... I'm not good with words."

She sighed quietly but it was cut short as a yawn replaced her sigh. "Sounds wounderful." She mused watching the water once more.

Jake shrugged, "if I could, I'd take you into my world."

"I would take you into mine." She said with a small smile. "Hey! A wishing star!" She grinned not knowing it was calle a shooting star. Grabbing his hand she smiled, "Make a wish." She squeezed her eyes shut tightly like a little kid and opend them a moment later.

Jake thought for a moment, looking at her hand. "Don't tell me, you'll jinx your wish." he said, smiling a little.

She nodded and smiled happily clearly happy. She didn't move her hand away. "Will you come back tomorrow?" Blinks at him. "At the cavern?"

Jake thought a little, "I will," he promised her. "When?"
