He raised an eyebrow, "I'm sorry. Why?" he asked.

"They want me to be a lady." She looked at his with raised eyebrows. "Do I look like some lady?" Huffs and picks up a sea shell.

"You do," he said. "They want you to "act like them." Jake snorted. "Just do what you want, forget them."

She grinned, "I may look like one but I sure as hell won't act like one." She was slowly piling up seashells she was finding and not really paying much attention to them.

He laughed. "Is there anything you want to do?"
[When's she going to grow legs?] -
She shrugged. "There's not much we can do unless you can hold your breath for a long time or have your swim gear.." Frowns thinking. She had heard of a story where a mermaid could bestow a human the breathing and seeing rights under water for an hour.
(The more she feels human next to him and when she stays on land long enough for her tail to dry completly.) -
Jake nodded, "what do you like to do, in your spare time?" he asked.
[Okay] -
She frowned and shrugged. "Explore. I just simple explore around." Smiles. "I don't really have much free time anymore." Sigh softly.

"I could go get some tanks, and we could go diving," he offered.

She nodded happily. "Okay! Meet me here!" She slid into the water. "Dive into the water, I'll stay close by." She went under and started to explore the tunnels.

He nodded, then went outside, jogging back towards his dive shop in town.

She giggled as she scooped up a baby dogfish. The shark rubbed across her arms and neck. "Awe." She mused happily.

Thirty minutes later, he slipped into the water with a single tank.

She swam towards him now with three baby dogfish. "Look what I found!" She mused petting one of the small sharks. They slid towards him but where curiouse.

He grinned, knowing it was under control. Jake looked at her, "I want to milk as much time out of my tank as possible," he said.
