‘No, it’s okay,’ Maeve said quickly, pulling her close. ‘It’s, um..’ She tried to think of any word that wasn’t cute. ‘Nice.’ -
Lavender looked up, raising her eyebrows. "Nice?" The hesitation Maeve had while trying to choose a word made Lavender feel like she was lying.

Maeve blushed. 'Yeah. Nice.'

"Okay...." Lavender mumbled skeptically, looking back down after a moment. You could just tell me the truth...

Maeve hugged her close.

Lavender leaned back into her, looking up to make sure Maeve didn't look uncomfortable.

Maeve grinned.

Lavender smiled back, the arm that was around Maeve's waist pulling her closer.

Maeve went bright red, grinning dorkily.

Lavender tried to see if she looked uncomfortable at all. Once she was sure Maeve wasn't, she beamed, snuggling into her.

Maeve giggled, holding her close.

Lavender chuckled. "It's not my fault you're snuggleable." She mumbled, assuming the giggling was over how affectionate she was being again.

'It's okay, I like it.'

Lavender grinned. "Really?" She thought Maeve seemed more like a prickly cactus sort of person.

Maeve giggled. ‘Yeah,’ she said, holding her close.
