Maeve went bright red. She pulled Lavender closer, grinning. ‘Thanks.’

Lavender smiled back. "Are you always this easily flustered?" She mimicked, chuckling.

Maeve rolled her eyes, chuckling. ‘Oh, shut up.’

Lavender giggled. "Hey, rude!"

‘Shhhhh.’

"No~"

Maeve huffed dramatically, but didn’t actually care.

Lavender laughed. She looked at Maeve's lips again before looking away quickly and getting mad at herself for being so impulsive and hopeless.

Maeve blushed. ‘Y-You okay?’

"I-I'm fine." Lavender said quickly, smiling. She looked up at Maeve to see if she was okay, and then looked away, scared that she'd wind up looking at her lips and think about kissing them again.

Maeve chuckled. 'Okay. If you're sure.'

"I am." Lavender mumbled.

Maeve smiled.

Lavender smiled back.

A man in a groundkeepers uniform walked down the path and looked up at the two. 'Hey, what are you two doing up there?!'
