Evan jumped, almost dropping his fork and flushing red. “Yeah! Oh, yeah, I’m great-“ he said, turning his head quickly.

Connor chuckled softly, watching Evan with a small smile. "If you say so," he said with a quiet laugh, looking back down at his phone.

Evan sighed quietly, pressing his lips together as he cut up the egg with his fork.

Connor hummed softly, scrolling through his phone. "Wait, I remember what the song's called now-" He said and chuckled softly, leaning back in the seat.

“What?” Evan said, quickly placing down his fork and facing Connor, happy for a distraction.

"I Want To Hold Your Hand, by the Beatles," Connor recited, chuckling softly. "Such a good song~"

Evan paused, making a mental note of the song before nodding. “Could you play it?”

"Sure, yeah," Connor replied with a smile, nodding. He pulled up Spotify and put the song on, singing along to it as it played.

Evan was still, focusing on listening and listening only. Was it to the song playing from Connor's phone or the man singing?? No one would ever know-

Connor switched to humming as he set the phone down, standing. "Be right back, gonna get some water," he said, walking into the kitchen.

“Alright,” Evan said softly, burning into his memory the name of the song and how Connor sang it. -

Connor continued to hum as he quickly grabbed himself a water, heading back into the dining room after a moment. "Do you like the Beatles?" He asked, sitting back down beside Evan. -
“Uh, yeah, I do,” Evan nodded, shrugging. “Didn’t they turn out to be druggies and stuff, though?”

“I dunno, I just listen to their music-“ Connor said with a shrug, chuckling softly.
