“How am I supposed to believe you?” Evan said.
“Your actions speak so loud I can barely f---ing hear you talk-“ -
“I uh, I brought some more chocolates as an apology- If you want them,” Connor spoke, pulling a box of Reese’s Pieces from his shorts.

An angry look stayed on his face as he held his hand out for the chocolate. “You’re not gonna take them away from me when I ‘misbehave’ are you?”

“No, I’m not-“

“Promise?” Evan said, partially mocking him.

“I do, I promise,” Connor spoke genuinely, watching Evan.

Evan scoffed, taking a bite of the chocolate. “Fabulous.”

Connor smiled a little, watching as Evan ate the chocolate.

Evan leaned against the counter, hanging his head slightly. “I’m sorry.” He mumbled quietly.

“It’s fine, I get it,” Connor replied with a nod, running a hand through his hair. “Do you like the chocolates?”

“Yeah, they’re good,” Evan said softly, finishing off the chocolate in his hand.

“That’s good to hear,” Connor spoke, a small smile on his face.

Evan nodded, standing there for a moment. “Can you ask my dad if I can get my radio back?” He asked quietly, slightly guilty.

“Yeah, I can- And, if he doesn’t, I can just play music for you with my phone,” Connor said with a smile, nodding.

“Thank you,” Evan said softly, rubbing his face.
