“You’re welcome,” Connor spoke gently, a small smile on his face. “So, what do you wanna do today?”

Evan shrugged a little. “I dunno-“ “He needs to have his meds,” His dad suggested, poking his head back into the kitchen.

“How about we do that first, then?” Connor suggested, chuckling softly.

Evan groaned quietly, crossing his arms. “I haven’t had anything to eat,” he mumbled quietly. “I mean- expect for chocolate, I guess.”

“Well, then, I can make you something to eat,” Connor replied, watching Evan with a small smile.

“I don’t even know what there is to make,” Evan said softly. “There’s bacon and eggs in the fridge!” His dad called, heading back upstairs.

“Thanks, Evan’s dad,” Connor called, chuckling softly. He walked over to the fridge and opened it up, pulling out the food.

Evan scoffed, rubbing his face. “Sorry I’m making you do all this stuff and I was being a dick-“

“No, it’s totally fine,” Connor replied, smiling a little. “I get the whole ‘being a dick to people’ thing, trust me- That was kind of my whole personality all throughout middle school and my freshman and sophomore year,” he added, going in search for a pan.

Evan nodded quietly, going into silence for a few moments. “Please, just- don’t scare me like you did yesterday… I hate feeling helpless.”

"Yes, no- Of course, I promise," Connor said quickly, nodding his head. "I seriously shouldn't have done that, and I'm really, really sorry. I only did it because I do it with my friend, the one I told you about, sometimes and I just- I'm sorry-"

“Yeah, not all blind people are the same,” Evan said, chuckling awkwardly.

"I'm really sorry, I'm just used to doing it I forget other people have other boundaries sometimes," Connor said, exhaling softly.

“Yeah, but I didn’t tell you, but it’s okay,” Evan said softly.

"Still, I shouldn't have assumed," Connor said, chuckling softly. "Now- How do you like your eggs?" He asked, looking over at Evan.
