They got there quickly and Evan unbuckled and hopped out, heading for the front of the car.

Connor hummed as he unbuckled and climbed out of the car, walking over to Evan's side and grabbing his hand again.

Evan smiled as they headed inside. “I’m so glad I know about this place-“

"Seriously, this place is awesome," Connor said, chuckling softly as he followed Evan.

“I know, who doesn’t love playing around with cats-“ Evan said, grinning a little. “Speaking of- I talked to my dad about getting a cat-“

"What'd he say?" Connor asked with a smile, gently squeezing Evan's hand.

“He said he had to meet the cat first, but yes,” Evan said with a chuckle, smiling.

"Aw, that's great!" Connor said with a chuckle, smiling brightly.

“Yeah, I’m really excited,” Evan said with a giggle, opening the door to the cat room.

Connor smiled and followed Evan inside, rubbing the back of his hand with his thumb.

Evan chuckled as he closed the door, climbing over the baby gate. “Hi kitties~”

"God, I really want a cat-" Connor said with a sigh, moving into the closed off area and sitting on the floor. "I might ask my mom again, but I dunno-"

“Again?” Evan asked with a giggle, sitting down with a cat. “When was the last time you asked?”

"Like, literally yesterday- I'm still in trouble for getting suspended, though," Connor said, chuckling awkwardly.

“Man, does your mom really hold that bad a grudge?” Evan said with a chuckle, petting one of the cats that came his way.
