Evan nodded, inhaling shakily and exhaling. “Did you sleep at all?”

"Nah, but I'm not really tired," Connor said, chuckling softly. He rubbed Evan's back, humming softly.

“Alright,” Evan said softly, yawning and picking his head up to look at Connor.

Connor smiled at Evan, admiring him for a moment. "Did you sleep alright, other than the nightmares?"

“Yeah,” Evan shrugged. “Better than I have, but that’s a low bar-“

Connor chuckled and nodded, holding Evan close and kissing his head again.

Evan whined quietly, his stomach cramping. “My head hurts-“

"You want some Ibuprofen? I could get some from your dad," Connor suggested, looking down at Evan.

“I can go grab some,” Evan said, moving to sit up.

Connor nodded and let go of Evan, sitting up with him.

“That’s cool,” Evan said, starting to get nauseous as he ate another bite of chocolate.

Connor watched Evan for a moment, kissing the side of his head. "Does your head still hurt?"

Evan smiled, leaning back in his seat and turning his head to admire Connor.

Connor hummed softly, tapping his thumb against the wheel and rubbing the back of Evan's hand with the other while he drove.
