Karl nodded, running a hand through his hair. He glanced over, seeing how close he’d gotten to Nick, quickly sitting up.

Nick sighed quietly, rubbing his face and leaning down in the couch.

Karl snuck another glance at Nick, exhaling softly. “I’m sorry for breaking the plate,” he mumbled, running a hand through his hair.

“Mm? Oh, it’s fine,” Nick shrugged. “That was like, three dollars or something .”

Karl nodded, looking back at the TV and zoning out again.

maybe we do smth where alex and clay come to see karl? idk lol) -
(ooo sure yeah)
“So- when are they coming over?” Nick asked as he loaded the dishwasher. -
“Alex is on his way back from his classes for the day, so I think he’s gonna stop by when he gets home,” Karl spoke, glancing up from his phone, “and Clay’s got work, so he’ll be by a bit later.”

“Just tell me when, I’ll go hide,” Nick said with a chuckle.

“No, you don’t need to do that,” Karl said with a giggle, looking over at Nick. “C’mon, they’re really not that bad, I promise-“

“I bet they’re not, but I don’t want to get yelled at in my own house,” Nick said with a chuckle.

“Well, if they yell at you, I’ll yell at them,” Karl said, giggling softly.

“Thanks,” Nick said with a chuckle.

Karl smiled at Nick, looking back down at his phone. A bit later there was a knock on the door and Karl got up, going over and opening it. “Hey, Alex~” He said with a smile, hugging his friend. “Hey! How’re you?” He asked, hugging his friend. “This man’s not torturing you, is he?” “Pfft- If anyone’s being tortured, it’s him,” he said with a quiet chuckle as they let go, Alex shutting the door. Alex looked over, seeing Nick in the kitchen.
