Nick made eye contact with Alex, raising his hand as a wave. “Hi.”

“Hey,” Alex replied politely, waving at Nick as he went to help Karl go back over to the couch. “I’m fine,” Karl spoke as he started heading back to the couch, sitting down. “How’re your classes?” “Good- Pretty tiring, but good,” Alex replied, chuckling softly.

Nick hummed quietly, continuing to load the dishwasher.

“How’s your knee?” Alex asked, watching Karl. “It’s alright- Still hurts a good bit, but it’s fine,” Karl replied, running a hand through his hair.

“Oh-“ Nick paused. “Sorry, but that reminds me, you need to have your midday meds.”

“Ah, right- Thank you, Nick,” Karl said, smiling as he looked over at the ravenette.

“Yep,” Nick said with a nod, starting towards Karl’s room. “I’ll go grab those.”

“Thanks~” Karl said with a smile, watching Nick walk off. “Ayo, dude-“ Alex said, gently hitting Karl’s arm as he looked over. “What’s up with you, you’re like- practically drooling over him-“ The brunette blushed, looking down at his lap. Alex chuckled softly, nudging his side. “Ooh, someone’s got a crush-“ “Shh!” Karl said, covering Alex’s mouth. “Wait, but doesn’t he hate you?” Alex asked, moving Karl’s hand.

Nick grabbed the small medication pouch with all the different days and times, taking the one he needed and heading back into the kitchen.

“No, we made up-“ Karl said, smiling at Alex. “Then why don’t you go for it, ask him out~?” Alex said with a smirk, nudging his friend’s side again. “What- No, I can’t do that! I- I don’t wanna force myself onto him,” Karl murmured, exhaling softly. “And he’s already having to deal with me enough as it is…” Alex furrowed his brows, watching his friend. I don’t deserve him, anyways… Karl thought, leaning back against the couch.

“You’ve gotta get a water bottle or something to have these,” Nick said with a chuckle, carrying a glass of water and the meds over to Karl.

“Mm, yeah,” Karl said with a quiet chuckle, nodding shortly as he took the glass. He opened the packets of the meds and popped the medicine into her mouth, taking a swig of water and swallowing it.

“Alright, you good?” Nick said, giving two thumbs up.

“Yep,” Karl replied with a small smile, giving Nick a thumbs up. Alex nodded in response, smiling a little at the ravenette.
