“Bug- It’s uh, kind of my nickname for him,” Jared said with a small smile, letting go of Liam and watching him walk off. “He’s like, obsessed with bugs, so that’s why I call him Bug~“

“Ohh, that’s cute,” Evan said with a smile. “That’s kinda… I dunno, boyfriend behavior-“ he said in between coughs.

Jared blushed, rubbing the back of his neck. “Well, I mean- It’s not a new nicknames, I’ve been calling him that for- for a while now-“

“Mm, okay,” Evan nodded with a chuckle, starting to walk towards Liam, who was crouching just off the path, pointing to some sort of insect on a rock. “Jared! Evan! Look-“

“What’d you find, Bug?” Jared asked with a chuckle, crouching beside Liam and resting his hand on his back.

“A centipede!” Liam said with a smile, glancing over at Jared. “I haven’t seen one of these in a while, honestly.”

“Nice find,” Jared said with a smile, rubbing his back for a moment with his thumb. “Man, I really kinda wish I had like, brought a camera or something-“

“Oh-“ Evan paused, his phone already out and sneaking a picture of the two. “You guys can use my phone, if you want. I can also try and get them printed out afterwards.” “No way, we can??” Liam said with a small gasp, smiling widely. “Yeah, here you go,” he said, handing them the phone with the camera already open. “Just, don’t look at anything else, okay? I’ll get in big trouble-“

“Nice,” Jared said with a smile, taking the phone and handing it to Liam.

Liam smiled, taking the phone and taking a picture of the bug in front of them. “Tell me if you see any cool bugs, okay? Now I can add them to my scrapbook-“

“Definitely,” Jared said with a chuckle, nodding. He moved closer to Liam, whispering softly. “I think Evan’s onto us- Should we just tell him we’re dating?” He asked in a hushed voice, chuckling quietly.

Liam shrugged, glancing over at Jared. “If you want to. I say we still keep it a secret from Michael-“ he whispered back.

“Oh, definitely,” Jared said with a chuckle, pressing a kiss on Liam’s cheek. He looked back over at Evan, chuckling awkwardly. “So, about what you said earlier-“

“You guys are finally together?” Evan said with a grin, chuckling. “I knew it!” He exclaimed with a chuckle after seeing Liam’s reaction.

“Yeah, we’re dating- But don’t tell Michael yet,” Jared said, chuckling. “We want him to figure it out, but honestly, it’s probably gonna take him ages to do that-“ He teased, wrapping his arm around Liam’s shoulder.
