“I mean, it’s kinda true,” Jared joked, chuckling softly. He rubbed Liam’s arm, standing to his feet. “C’mon, let’s keep looking for cool bugs,” he said, smiling at his boyfriend.

“Ooo, yeah, let’s go,” Liam said with a smile, standing again and starting down the path again.

Jared chuckled softly, watching Liam with a lovesick grin for a moment before catching up to him.

Liam looked back, reaching the hand that wasn’t holding Evan’s phone out to Jared. “C’mere, you silly goose-

Jared chuckled, walking over to Liam and taking his hand. “God, you’re just too cute,” he said softly, gently squeezing his boyfriend’s hand.

Liam blushed, glancing at the ground. “Thank you-“

“You’re welcome~” Jared said with a small smile, rubbing the back of Liam’s hand with his thumb.

Liam smiled, squeezing Jared’s hand back. “You’re quite handsome, too,” he said shyly.

Jared blushed bright red, a flustered grin on his face. “Thanks, Bug~” He said, glancing down at the ground.

Liam giggled happily. squeezing Jared’s hand and pulling him close as they walked. “You’re so welcome~”

Jared smiled, leaning into Liam’s side as they walked. He hummed softly, looking around for more bugs for his boyfriend to take pictures of while sneaking glances at the blonde.

“HOLY-“ Liam exclaimed, cutting himself off and rushing off the path a little bit. “It’s a swollen-thighed beetle, oh my Gosh, I’ve never seen one of these-“ he said excitedly, taking several pictures of it.

Jared laughed softly, quickly following Liam off the path. “That’s sick as hell, Bug, but let’s stay on the path, okay?” He asked, moving to Liam’s side.

“I’m not that far off the path, and Evan’s right there!” Liam complained politely, glancing back to their counselors. “You trust me, right?” “Uh, I guess so?”
