Theo shrugged, feeling bad for not telling her the truth, but also not wanting to make it even more awkward. "Thanks, it's a mess." He wasn't fully lying either. It's what the author likes to call 'organized chaos', which TOTALLY wasn't what their room was like before their mom decided to blitz clean it and get rid of HALF THEIR STUFF WITHOUT TELLING THEM- but anygays...

DAMN you alright there buddy boy- Hazel noticed him not replying but didn’t pry.
-
NO I'M NOT I'M VERY UPSET. Theo looked over at her before crashing on his bed. "So what's up with you?"
-
I SEE WHY THAT SUCKS MAN. Hazel shrugged, smiling and sitting down next to him. ‘Nothing much.’
-
YEAH. Theo smiled back. "You went on an entire vacation just for nothing much to be happening? Damn."
-
Hazel chuckled. ‘You know what I mean,’ she said, setting down the bread and laying next to him. ‘What’s new with you?’
-
Theo shrugged. "Other than this? Not much either."
-
‘Fair enough,’ Hazel chuckled. ‘Do you want to talk about Layla, or…?’
-
Theo paused thinking. "No." He said after a bit. "But I probably should."
-
Hazel chuckled quietly. ‘Yeah, you probably should. Are you going to?’
-
Theo sighed. "Maybe." He paused, inhaling deeply. "She doesn't think you're over me." He mumbled, hoping she didn't hear him.
-
Hazel froze. She stared at him for a moment. ‘She wh-what?’ she asked, desperately hoping she has misheard him and he’d said something completely different.
-
Theo grimaced, looking at her for a moment before looking away again. "I'm sorry, that makes it sound like it's your fault. It's not your fault, I promise."
-
‘B-But that’s why she broke up with you? Because she thought I’m not over you?’ Hazel asked, sitting up.
-
"No, that's not the only reason, I promise!" Theo sighed, curling up into a little ball.
