Theo paused as he listened. "Was it that obvious in the text?" He said after a bit, burying his face in his hands, knowing he had to come clean.
-
Layla glared. ‘I knew it!’ she exclaimed, rubbing her temples. ‘Yes, it was so obvious!’
-
Theo winced. "I'm sorry! I didn't even realize I liked her until a bit ago, I just... I dunno, you're better at this s--- than me!" He wrapped his arms around his knees, pressing them to his chest.
-
Layla glared. ‘I’m leaving,’ she spat, storming towards the door. ‘Let me know when you decide to get over the dumb--- you broke up with months ago.’ She opened the door and slammed it on her way out.
-
"I'm so, so sorry." Theo said as she left, trying hard not to cry like a pathetic little girl.
-
Layla stomped down the stairs. Theo’s phone pinged with a text from Hazel.
Hey. You don’t happen to know what va te faire foutre means, do you? -
Theo frowned before answering. Uh... It's one of those words that have multiple meanings... So it means kiss my ass and f--- off at the same time. Why?
-
Ah. Makes sense. I just said crossoh in my totally best French accent to a clerk because Lilla wanted one and he said that to me.
-
Theo chuckled. It's a wakeup call to never say that again.
(I'm gonna go, I'll be back in the morning, but in case you're not there, see you in like a week!) -
(Alr, hopefully I will, so cya! If not see you then!)
Hazel huffed. Damn, I should’ve listened to you. Well, how are you? What’s goin on? -
Well, Layla pretty much just broke up with me, but other than that i've been good. Hru?
-
Layla broke up with you? What happened? Are you okay?
-
Theo didn't want to tell her the whole story, knowing he'd sound weird and didn't want to make Layla seem like the bad guy when it was mostly his fault. Yeah, she just gets really possessive when it comes to other girls, and I guess this was her breaking point. I'd rather not talk about it He didn't answer her last question on purpose.
-
Hazel frowned. Are you sure? Do you want me to come over and bring snacks? I can text Cohen for you if you want and we can have a French bread party
-
Theo smiled slightly as he read the text. A French bread party doesn't sound too bad...
