Max sat next to him. He wrapped an arm around his friend, and Hazel sat on Theo’s other side. ‘Hey, you okay, man?’ Max asked.

"I'm fine." Theo mumbled, slowly setting his hands away from his face.

Hazel sighed, looking down at her hands.
‘You wanna talk about it?’ Max asked. -
Theo sighed. "No." He mumbled, fingers tapping on his knee as a way to distract himself.

‘Alright. Um, let’s go play some video games and eat French bread?’ Max suggested, trying to find ways to cheer him up.

Theo nodded. "We're playing Mario Kart first." He chuckled.

Max smiled and stood up. ‘Alright.’

Theo smiled back, standing up as well. "C'mon, it's downstairs."

Hazel stood up too.

Theo walked out of his room and down the stairs to the movie/video game room.

Max followed him, and Hazel walked behind the two quietly.

Theo looked at her. "You haven't said anything in a while, you ok?"

Hazel looked up at him and quickly nodded. ‘Of course,’ she said with a smile.

Theo gave a small smile back before offering her a controller.

Hazel took the controller.
