"Max, shut up." Theo said with a grin as he threw another shell at Max.

‘Thanks~’ Hazel laughed.
‘Hey! You’re supposed to be on my side!’ Max complained. -
"You're being too smug, it's distracting! Now shut up and let me win!"

‘No, I’m winning!’ Max exclaimed, falling into second.
‘Do I get a prize for losing?’ Hazel asked. -
"Take that!" Theo laughed. "Hazel, you get a participation award."

‘Better than nothing,’ Hazel huffed.
‘Damn you!’ Max complained. -
"Suck it up, loser!" Theo yelled as he finished the race.

Max threw a pillow at Theo. ‘Goddamn it!’
Hazel huffed. ‘I’m not even finished the second lap yet.’ -
"Stop being a sore loser!" Theo laughed, catching the pillow.

Max swore at him in loud French. Hazel snickered.

"What did I JUST TELL YOU about swearing!"
"Max, I can hear you!" Theo's mom called out in French. Theo buried his head in his hands out of embarrassment. -
Hazel did not do well to suppress her laughter. ‘Oh my god you’re so dumb-‘
Max told her to shut the f--- up in French. Hazel obviously didn’t know what it meant and shrugged. -
"Max!" Theo's mom yelled again.
"Max, just shut up!" -
Hazel laughed. ‘What’d he say?!’

"He told you to shut the frick up but it wasn't frick." Theo said, not wanting to get in trouble with his mom.
