Jayden beamed at that. "Thank you." He said quietly. "But clearly, you don't know my family that well." He mumbled the last bit.

Chester heard that part. ‘Well, luckily I’ll be visiting you, like, a week after you leave,’ he decided.

Jayd looked up at him. "You don't have to do that, love."

‘I know. But I wouldn’t be a very good boyfriend if I didn’t.’

Jayden chuckled. "Thank you."

Chester kissed his cheek. ‘Anything for you.’

Jayd blushed. "You're too good for me."

‘Shut up, Celeste.’

"Why should I?"

‘Good question. We still need to sort out this shifting problem,’ Chester said. He smiled softly. ‘But I’m really glad you opened up to me.’

Jayden smiled. "Me too." He kissed Chester's cheek.

Chester smiled softly. ‘Let’s take turns. I’ll ask you a question, then you ask me one.’

"Alright." Jayd thought. "Why do you think this shape-shifting malfunctioning thing is happening?"

‘The same reason Oliver said,’ Chester answered immediately. He blushed. ‘It’s kind of unfair how I HAVE to answer and you don’t.’

Jayden chuckled. "I'll answer honestly with you, I promise."
