"Oh come on!" Jayden groaned. "Come baaaack, please?"

‘No!’ Maeve said. Her voice echoed around the hall, not coming from a definite place. ‘Go do some lovey dovey stuff with Chester or something!’

"He wanted to be left alone!" Jayd said to the air.

‘He’s in the library right now!’ Maeve said.

"Thanks!" Jayden turned around to walk back to the library.

Maeve giggled, then her voice disappeared.

Jayd walked back inside the library.

Chester heard the doors open. He looked up.

Jayd waved. "Do you still want to do this alone?" He asked.

Chester smiled. ‘Some company would be nice,’ he said.

"Good, because if I bump into Beatrice again without you, I'll lose my mind." Jayden said with a dry chuckle, standing next to Chester.

Chester pulled over a chair for him, then sat back down. ‘Oh god, I’m so sorry,’ he said. ‘What happened?’

"Nothing much, just more about how 'boo hoo, you cheated on her' and stuff." Jayd shrugged, sitting down.

‘Right,’ Chester said. He wrapped an arm around him. ‘Next time I’ll be there, promise,’ he said with a small smile.

"Good. Thank you." Jayden smiled.
