Mildred eyes widened. 'Alexander? You mean, the man-in-the-glass-coffin-in-a-weird-sleep-thing Alexander?' she questioned, standing.

"my comatose brother Alexander. I think this is the best time for you to see him properly." Jack said. He was having a hard time not just dragging Mildred to Alexander's room in the anxiousness that he'd wake up alone. His fangs were showing with his bright smile.

Mildred nodded. 'Alright, then. I've got nothing better to do.'

"let's go?" Jack shouted jumping up. He walked ten steps ahead of Mildred before looking back and waiting for her to follow. The idea of Alexander waking up was so comforting to him he felt he could sleep soundly that night and drink just milk for the rest of the week

Mildred hurried after him, holding her skirt up slightly so she wouldn't accidently trip over it. She didn't think she'd seen the prince grin like that before, in her short time of being in the castle, but it made her happy for him.

Jack practically ran down the steps of the dungeons. He completely ignored the prisoners until he was down to the glass coffin. Alexander's features shifted ever so slightly. Jack was so overjoyed, he turned into a bat.

Mildred ran after him. She screamed a little when Jack suddenly turned into a bat. 'W-Wha-?!' she exclaimed. 'Jack?! Did you just turn into a bat?!'

Jack turned back to a human form "ah, sorry. That was rude of me. Anyways, he should be waking up any moment! I- okay so Mildred Welcome to Alexander's temporary room. When he wakes up it'll be renovated but that's later." Jack said. He spoke so fast that his thoughts were hardly cohesive

Mildred looked around, still a bit fazed by Jack's sudden transformation. 'That's fine. I've just never seen someone transform into a bat,' she said with a slight laugh. She looked at the sleeping Alexander. If he woke up, she wouldn't have to take Jack's eye. Frederick would leave and she'd - hopefully - feel more at peace. It was a good thought.

"Maybe he got a little shy after the accident, we should formally introduce you! Mildred, I am formally introducing to you the king of vampires, Alexander." Jack said. He was still beaming

Mildred wasn't sure what to do after that. She did a clumsy curtsey at the sleeping king. 'Er- Hello,' she said awkwardly, then stood up straight. 'Uhm- It's a... pleasure to meet you?' She looked at Jack, unsure if that was the correct thing to say.
