Mildred winced.
Another reason not to help Frederick, she thought.
Mildred didn't want to get on the bad side of Jezebel, so she just nodded sheepishly and said in a voice an octave higher than usual, 'Alright.' -
"good that we're clear on that. Now then, if I remember correctly you were supposed to meet Celie." Jezebel said. She kept record of all the schedules in the house.
-
Mildred smiled. 'Yes, I think so. When's that?' she was looking forward to meeting Celie. Hopefully she wouldn't dislike her as much as Jezebel did.
-
"that is on the morrow due to this unfortunate event. We must make sure there is no more blood." Jezebel said. Jack woke back up after jezebel said that. "jezebel, can you get Cain?" He asked weakly. He really just wanted to go back to his room.
-
Mildred nodded, a little disappointed, and looked at Jack when he woke.
-
Jack did not look well. He felt terrible. Cain walked in to help him. He felt like he was made of jam. "Cain, can you help me to my room? I feel like I'm jello." Jack said
-
Mildred wasn't entirely sure what to do in the moment, so she just leaned against the wall and watched.
-
Cain practically picked up jack and walked away. Jack's feet dragged on the floor almost as if he was asleep. He felt like he was almost asleep. Jack looked incredibly frail at the moment
-
Mildred paused for a moment before deciding to follow. She wasn't sure why, and concluded because she wanted to make sure Jack was OK.
-
Cain dragged jack into his room. It was large and Gothic styled. He had of course a coffin but also the human bed fir Frederick. The room was mostly red and black with some white accents. The coffin had a veil that came down from the ceiling.
-
Mildred followed and stood in the doorway, fiddling with her hands and the skin peeling off around her scar. She looked around. It was a nice room, though not helpful to break the gothic vampires stereotype.
-
Cain set jack inside of the veiled coffin and walked away. Jack sat in his coffin watching the fabric on the ceiling. Time after a blood rage was best spent in silence.
-
Mildred watched Cain leave and looked back at the veiled coffin. For some reason, even though it probably wasn't, she felt it was partially her fault for the state he was in - even though it wasn't. She sat on a nearby chair as quietly as she could to not break the silence.
-
After awhile jack felt less jello-like and sat up. The ordeal had been exhausting. He yawned and stretched before getting out of his coffin.
-
Mildred was half asleep by now, having had barely any sleep, but she started awake when she heard noise.
