'Climbing up shelves isn't exactly a family secret,' Mildred scoffed. 'Well anyway, I'll be going. Where do you want me to put this handkerchief?'
-
"I don't climb the shelves, not in a conventional way. As for the handkerchief if you set it beside the lamp table I'll pick it up. Or you could fold in and shove it into your pocket. If you're really confident you can try throwing it onto the top of the shelf." Frederick said
-
Mildred tried throwing it. It fell down, so she picked it up and threw it again. This time it landed on top of the shelf.
'Good day,' Mildred said, and left the library wiithout a second glance and slammed the doors shut. She'd planned to spend most of her time in the library, but it seemed she'd never get peace and quiet with that Bavlenca man around. -
The door slamming made everything in Jack's vision shake. He groaned. His head was still burning. His eye rolled around aimlessly.
-
Mildred looked over at Jack. 'Are you OK, prince?' she asked. She watched him for a moment, not sure if he could reply or not.
-
"I'm...... Not....... Doing...... Well." Jack said. It took a great effort to speak. A maid was standing beside him to help for after his fatigue passed
-
'What happened?' Mildred asked, more worried than she wanted to be. She looked at the maid then back at Jack.
-
"the young master is not feeling well because he smelled human blood." The maid said as she stared into Mildred's eyes like an accusation.
-
Mildred glanced at Jack, then back at the maid. It took all her strength not to frown at the woman; Mildred noticed how she looked at her but didn't want to get on her bad side. 'Right,' Mildred said. 'Will he be OK?'
-
"once the rage fatigue passes. For now all of his muscles are relaxed including his heart and brain." The main said. Jack's head rolled. The hallucinations grew
-
'Alright,' Mildred said, relaxing a little.
-
Jack watched everything warble and dance around his vision. Eventually colors stopped moving.
-
Mildred wasn't entirely sure what to do in the moment, so she shifted her weight on each foot awkwardly. 'Well, I guess I'll be going..' she said.
-
"are you okay?" Jack asked weakly. He knew he'd smelled human blood so he figured it was Mildred's
-
'I'm fine,' Mildred said. She was about to ask why he was wondering, but then remembered she was supposed to be the only human in the castle. Frederick wasn't supposed to be here.
