Mildred sat on her bed. She wondered what would happen in she didn't help Frederick with taking Jack's eye. It didn't seem like she'd be able to get closer to him, no matter what she tried. Still, it seemed cruel to deny the prince his opportunity to see his brother again. Mildred buried her face in her hands.

Jack decided to go down to the dungeons. Alexander would listen to his thoughts. There was no way for him to tell jack to be quiet anyways and it wouldn't be something he was forced to do. He thought maybe if it was annoying enough Alexander would wake up just to scold him
-
Mildred lay down on the bed. It made a weird creaking sound when she flopped down. She stared up at the ceiling boredly.
-
Jack looked through the prison cells. Traitors and thieves for the most part. There were also people who had aggressively opposed his existence when he was revealed to the public. Alexander swore no one would hurt jack. These people where examples.
-
Mildred turned onto her side. She sighed, then sat up and grabbed one of her books. She didn't know where the one with the drawing was, but she figured she'd find it later. She opened the book and began to read.
-
Jack got to Alexander's glass coffin and leaned against it, sighing. It had been a long night. He combed through his hair with his fingers and watched the cold stone floors. A cockroach scuttled across the floor.
-
Mildred read for a bit, before her thoughts overtook her and she grew disinterested. She sighed and put the book down. She looked around the room and glared at the portrait of Frederick on the wall. She wished she could talk to Jack. He may not be particularly fond of her, but at least he was fairly interesting.
-
Jack watched the coffin, waiting for anything to happen. Of course, nothing did. "Today I went into a blood rage." Jack told the body of his brother. He breathed.
-
At least, Mildred hoped he'd grown fond of her. She liked the idea of having a friend again, though knew how unlikely it was. She was a human, after all, and as Frederick said, a peasant.
-
Jack turned away from Alexander, but then a miracle happened. Alexander babbled in his sleep. It was faint, and unintelligible but it was a sign. A small sign of brain activity. Jack's face lit up as he ran up the stairs.
-
Mildred boredly lay back down on her bed, arms hanging off the sides.
-
Jack ran through the halls and knocked on Mildred's door loudly. He was smiling so wide that his fangs were popping.
-
Mildred perked and sat up. 'Come in!' she called hanging her legs off the side of the bed.
-
Jack opened the door "Mildred you wouldn't believe it!" He shouted. His right eye was glowing. He had to tell Mildred first, then he'd show her Alexander. Who knew? Maybe he'd wake up like a storybook.
-
Mildred blinked. 'What is it?' she asked, wondering what could get hone person so excited.
