Florence dropped the mouse and held the sandwich in two of his hands, inspecting it from every angle. He then are it. He mimicked a wind chime. "Thank you!" Florence shouted happily.

Collins smiled. 'You're welcome,' she said, then took a bite out of her own half.

Florence danced around in a little circle. "I haven't had.... real food.... since the creator..... left." Florence said

'What have you been eating instead?' Collins asked, then took another bite from the sandwich.

Florence scrunched himself up in embarrassment as he spoke. "Mostly rats... and mice."

Collins wrinkled her nose at the thought of eating nothing but mice for a 100 days or more. 'That's disgusting. The assistant researcher didn't even bring you food?'

"if he did... I don't remember... I tend to block his visits.... out of my mind." Florence said. Every time the assistant researcher showed up it was pain.

'Fair enough. He seems like a horrible man,' Collins said. She searched her satchel for something else she could give him.

Florence walked over to the wall with the exposed wires and started chewing on the chords

Collins pulled out an apple, wondering how long it'd been in there. It wasn't too bruised. 'Do you like fruit?'

Florence's wings fluffed up and he turned around. "I love... fruit." He said clapping one of his sets of hands.

Collins threw the apple to him. 'You can have it,' she said, then continued eating her sandwich.

Florence ate the apple slowly to savor it.

Collins smiled and once she finished her food she closed her satchel.

"I love.... fruit." Jack reiterated smiling. He smiled and did a little dance, mimicking a trumpet
