"do you know what happened when a monster rampages Florence?" The assistant researcher said. Florence shook his head
-
Collins walked back to the room, unsuccessful. She peeked out from behind the wall, watching the assistant researcher.
-
"when a monster rampages people die, so I have to put you in your place Florence." The assistant researcher said before giving Florence another shot. He shrieked in agony before fainting.
-
Collins watched on in horror. She closed her eyes, not being able to watch Florence in such pain.
-
"monsters should learn. Now then girl, if you don't want to be sued for more money than your worth leave this facility and don't mention what you saw." The assistant researcher said
-
Collins opened her eyes and clenched her jaw. She looked from Florence to the assistant researcher, then turned and ran. It took a bit to go down all those stairs, and some collapsed under her, but soon she was outside and sprinting back to the apartment.
-
"just as needed. You have no friends Florence. You don't deserve them." The assistant researcher said. Florence continued in a dreamless sleep as the assistant researcher left.
-
Collins was angry at herself for being such a coward. She couldn't help her friend, she barely even tried. These were her thoughts as she walked back into her parent's apartment.
'Collins!' her mother screamed. In the kitchen were both her parents and her therapist. 'What on Earth were you thinking?!' -
Florence continued sleeping. Occasionally he twitched in his sleep as acid and poison coursed through his blood slowly being destroyed
-
Collins remained silent, looking away. Her mother grabbed her arm. 'Your sleeves...' the woman said, pulling them up. 'Your arms! Are you having those thoughts again?!'
Collins remained silent. So did the rest of the room. -
Florence was starting to take consciousness again. It was hard for him to move.
-
Collins' mother let go of her arm, watching her. Collins walked down the hall to her room and flopped down onto her bed, curling up as she thought about what the assistant researcher had said. "There is no law about such experiments." There was no way to stop his cruelty.
-
Florence lazily looked to his shackled hands and sat up slowly as not to upset the chemicals in his blood.
-
Collins rubbed the cuts on her wrists. They'd stopped bleeding and had a thin scab, but still hurt to touch. She sighed.
-
Florence tugged at the shackles but exerting any strength into it made him lightheaded. It was terrible
