Collins gave a small smile. ‘Hi,’ she said. She was holding a small octopus plush.

"ooo, squid!" Florence said. He noticed Collins bandaids. He held his bandaged arms up to Collins' bandaged hands. "Bandaid buddies." He said

‘His name is Fred,’ Collins said, then looked down at his arms and chuckled. ‘Yeah, I guess we are.’

"hi Fred. What happened to your hands?" Florence asked Collins. He wanted to know what went down when he wasn't there

‘I just picked them too hard. I do it when I’m nervous,’ Collins said.

"then they should stop making you nervous." Florence concluded

Collins gave a small smile. ‘I dunno, it’s my fault for feeling nervous. Let’s go inside, it’s too cold out here.’

Florence squeezed through the old sliding doors which were practically obliterated at that point due to the excessive forceful openings.

Collins followed, turning on her side to squeeze through.

Florence stood in the dusty entryway. It felt more dusty to him then it usually did. He wondered if the chairs were always messed up or if he'd just ignored that

Collins stood next to him, picking at a thread on Fred. ‘You good?’

"did it always look like this?" Florence asked. He mimicked the chirping of crickets

Collins coughed into her elbow from the dust. ‘I don’t think so,’ she said.

"watch out for glass." Florence said. Looking at the floor

Collins looked down and stepped over the glass, then looked at Florence.
