Collins walked inside the hospital. ‘How long were you waiting out there?’ she asked.

"I dunno. It wasn't that long." Florence said, lying through his teeth as he mimicked a ferret.

‘You sure? Someone could’ve seen you,’ Collins said worriedly.

"no one comes to the hospital that often except... Well.... Unpleasant scientists." Florence said as his ears drooped

‘I thought nobody visited except for the assistant researcher,’ Collins said.

"that's true. The assistant researcher is an unpleasant scientist." Florence said

‘He is,’ Collins agreed.

"I get worried sometimes. I think he could come back soon. If he does I promise I'll fly you somewhere safer than the hospital." Florence said.

‘Thanks. Hopefully he’ll stay away, though,’ Collins said, giving a smile. ‘We’ll just have to see, I guess.’

"I hope he stays away forever." Florence said with conviction. He mimicked the buzz of electricity

‘Me too,’ Collins said, looking around.

Moses was terrorizing mice in a small room near where Florence and Collins first met. "I know you know what happened." He said to the mice

Collins looked at Moses, blinking. ‘Uh… you okay?’

"I'm trying to teach them. These mice went missing way before the schism." Moses said without looking at them. Florence's ears perked up.
