"They'd better." Jonah said, kicking at a few leaves.

"it's the least they could do after everything that has happened to me here." Valako said

Jonah nodded. "I'll make sure they do." He said with a hint of a smile.

"I'm glad to know you're looking out for me." Valako said

Jonah smiled fully. "I'm glad to know that makes you happy."

"I wish I could make you as happy as you make me." Valako said grinning

Jonah blushed. "You do!" He said quickly and awkwardly.

Valako blushed and looked into the forest. She thought she momentarily saw someone there but they were gone in seconds. "I'm glad to know that." Valako said

Jonah blushed even harder. "I'm glad you know that too." He mumbled.

"gosh, um, isn't the sky pretty?" Valako said, swiftly changing the subject. She looked up at the blue sky swirling with wispy clouds

"Very pretty." Jonah agreed. "I like the-uh- the clouds."

"they're very interesting clouds." Valako said as she rubbed her mask

"Indeed." Jonah said with a small laugh.
