"Maybe someone who didn't have a choice?" Jonah asked, not really knowing.

"why not live in the woods instead if that was the case?" Valako asked. She found the woods much more comfortable than the dank, dusty, and stuffy water tower.

"Because it has a roof?" Jonah shrugged. "I don't really know."

"I guess." Valako said

Jonah shrugged. "If we ever meet the guy, that'll be the first question we ask."

"yeah, then I can ask why he left." Valako said

Jonah nodded, staring at the rusty tower.

Valako climbed up the dusty stairs leading out of the water tower room.

Jonah followed quickly, not wanting to be without her for too long.

As Valako looked at the town she put back on her mask. "It feels nice to be out of there." Valako said.

"Yes. Much less stuffy." Jonah took a deep breath of the fresh air.

"yeah." Valako said, then, she laughed.

Jonah chuckled, smiling as he looked at her.

"I honestly never expected some sort or room in the water tower. It's so bizarre." Valako said between giggles.

"Same!" Jonah laughed. "I would've though, y'know, WATER!"
