"there's something majestic and scary about it with how big it is." Valako said. She felt a pit in her stomach looking up at it. She felt the skin under her eye start to itch like there was something hiding under the skin.

Jonah nodded. “It’s ginormous.” He agreed. “So freaking big.”

"well, we have a key. Should we climb up?" Valako asked as she looked up at it. There was a sense of foreboding in the back of her mind. She forced herself to break eye contact with the water tower.

Jonah nodded. “If you want to.” He said, looking up at the huge water tower.

"Okay, here goes I guess." Valako said grabbing onto the ladder bars. They were cold and slightly dusty. She didn't like how it felt on her hands. She decided to wipe them off at the top.

Jonah followed, the dust sticking onto his hand, irritating him.

Valako got to the top of the ladder and sat on the outcropping there. She took some tissues out of her pocket and wiped off the red dirt from her hands. It was uncomfortably grimey.

Jonah sat next to her, wiping the dust on his pants.

"that's going to be even worse on the climb down." Valako said, handing Jonah some tissues.

"I know. Thanks for the tissues." Jonah said with a smile.

"well, it'll all be worth it, won't it?" Valako said, smiling. She stood back up and took the key out of her pocket hesitantly.

Jonah smiled. "Definitely. Lets go!"

Valako unlocked the door of the water tower. She unconsciously held her breath as she opened the door. It was incredibly musty but the inside was confusing. She pushed the door open fully and gasped

Jonah couldn't see. He coughed at all the dust. "Anything cool in it?" He asked through his coughs.

"it's... It's a room." Valako said. It was furnished with an old battery operated fan, a bed and a wardrobe. Valako jumped down disregarding the dusty ladder.
