'Yeah,' Callum said, thankful Eli had appeared to believe it. 'Anyway.'

Eli didn’t know what to say to keep the conversation going, so they just looked at the textbook again.
“Have you got an idea with how the story goes?” Eli asked, then stopped. “Sorry, I’m so impatient.” -
'No, not yet,' Callum sighed. 'Class should be over in about 30 seconds, anyway.'

Eli sighed. “What are you gonna do after school?”

'I'm not sure.'

Eli nodded. “Me either. I’ll probably just sit in my room and play Roblox or something.”

Callum laughed. 'Fair enough.'

“Yeah.” Eli sighed again, not knowing how to keep the conversation going. “So… what’s your favorite class so far?”

The bell rung. 'Probably English,' Callum shrugged, stuffing his textbook into his bag.

Eli nodded as they shoved the textbook into their backpack and stood up. “Fair enough.”

'Hey! That's my line,' Callum said, pretending to be overly offended.

Eli rolled their eyes. “I’m sorry your highness, how DARE I say a common phrase!”

'Pfft,' Callum scoffed. 'Yes, how DARE you!'

Eli did a sassy bow to Callum. “Your highness, forgive me for daring to say something you’ve said before! How could you ever forgive me?”

Callum laughed. 'I couldn't, but I shall. You are forgiven.'
