Callum followed. 'It cancels out my federal crimes.'

“Ohhhh, so you’re a criminal?” Eli said, only half joking. “Spill it, what’d you do?”

'I threw a can of beans at a priest,' Callum joked, which was evident in his goofy tone of voice.

“Come on, there has to be something more than a joke about throwing a can at a priest, no matter how funny that may be. Spill the beans your highness!”

'I spilt the beans on the priest, sorry.'

“There’s no way that’s a federal crime, I call bull!” Eli called out, laughing.

Callum laughed. 'It's called a joke, Eli, didn't you read the memo?'

“You can’t say something like ‘it cancels out my federal crimes!’ And say it was a joke!” Eli objected. “Please, satisfy my need for a true crime podcast today.”

'There might be a few on Spotify.'

“That’s not the same, I wanna meet a criminal in the flesh, it’d be very fun.”

'Commiting crimes is your idea of fun? I can't think of what your other days would be like,' Callum said with a smirk.

Eli laughed. “In my defense, meeting a criminal would be very exhilarating.” They countered.

'So long as it's not a murderer.'

Eli shrugged. “Even that would be kinda fun… although it wouldn’t last long.” They sighed dramatically.
(I’m just lumping all my intrusive thoughts into a character lol)
