'Wow,' Callum said with a slight chuckle. -
Eli looked down embarrassed. “Sorry, I have a messed up sense of fun.”

'Nah, it's actually kinda cool,' Callum laughed. 'I've finally found someone as psychotic as I am.'

“I’m dying to hear your psychotic thoughts.” Eli said. “The suspense is killing me!”

'Really?' Callum laughed, raising an eyebrow. 'You're gonna die if I don't tell you?'

“Yes.” Eli said bluntly. “So you ought to tell me.”

Callum glanced up. 'If that ceiling fan fell, how many people do you think it would not?'

“Oh, it’d easily knock out at least 10-20 people, maybe even kill 3 people if it had direct contact with them.” Eli said automatically, glad to know he wasn’t the only one thinking that from time to time.

'I reckon at least 7 would die,' Callum said thoughtfully. 'My money's on 7.'

Eli shrugged. “You’re probably right, it just depends on how it falls I suppose. You know, most people don’t think about these things, much less calculate how many would die.”

'We're just extremely mentally ill, then,' Callum said with a smile.

Eli grinned. “Indeed we are. Or everyone else is just weird for not thinking these things.”

The bell rang, but it was the end of school bell. Eli sighed. He didn’t normally want to stay at school, but this time he actually had a friend.

Callum noticed this. 'You good?' he asked.
