(all good)
Natsuki leaned forward and placed her hand on his cheek, wiping his tears with her thumb, giving a comforting smile. -
Nik smiled again. “You can go back to sleep if you want.” He offered quietly.
-
Natsuki shook her head and returned her hand to her side, still holding his with her other hand.
-
Nik smiled. “Alright.” He said, laying down on the bed, head still spinning over everything that happened in just a couple of minutes.
-
Natsuki lay down next to him and squeezed his hand softly, trying to comfort him as best she could without talking.
-
Nikolai sat down in silence, not knowing what to say. He realized he couldn’t hear his parents talking- or to be more accurate yelling- at eachother, which was the first time in a while.
-
Natsuki stared up at the ceiling. The house had gone quiet, which was definitely a good thing, especially for Nik. She rolled over so that she was looking at Nik, and she looked a him in a way that showed she wanted to help.
-
“What?” Nik asked Natsuki. “There’s not much you can do. I mean, I knew this was coming for a while.”
-
Natsuki tilted her head at him curiously.
-
“Well you’ve heard them.” Nikolai explained. “All they do is argue. That never ends well in a relationship.” He sighed, looking at the ground.
-
Natsuki pursed her lips and gave a comforting smile, craning her neck so she could look Nik in the eye.
-
Nik tried to give a smile to show he was alright, but it was a fake one. He grabbed his magnets and started fidgeting with them again.
-
Natsuki gently kissed him on the cheek to show she was there for him and leaned her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes.
-
Nik blushed, hugging Nat gently.
“I-you- thanks.” He said softly. -
Natsuki nodded, a faint blush on her pale cheeks, and after a few minutes she feel asleep again.
