Nik played with Nats hair some more, wondering why the bus was going even slower than normal. At this rate, they’d be at his bus stop at sundown!

Natsuki fell half-asleep again, her breathing long and slow.

Nikolai heard Natsuki’s slow breathing, and knew she was asleep, at least partially. He smiled, kissing the top of her head.
(Nik’s a rizz machine now) -

Natsuki then had a dream. It was random, like most of her dreams. It had Chase yelling at her and Ming crying in the corner and Xiao in a prison cell and her parents dying all over again. She woke up in a mess of sweat, her breathing now quick and frantic. -
Nik watched Natsuki wake up panicked, and he immediately grabbed her hand gently.
“Hey, it’s ok.” He said softly. “We’re almost at our stop.” -
Natsuki wiped the sweat off her forehead with the hand Nik wasn't holding and nodded slowly, trying to get her breathing under control.

Nikolai tried to flash a comforting smile, and kissed Natsuki on the top of the head.
“If it’s not too personal, why are you so panicked?” He asked gently. -
Natsuki took a deep breath and her breathing eventually slowed. When it did she took out her phone and wrote "nightmare" then handed it to Nik.

“What was the nightmare about?” Nik asked, trying not to sound too pushy, but also curious as to what made Nat so scared in her nightmare.

Natsuki took the phone and wrote, 'My family,' then showed it to Nik, wiping her eyes.

“I’m so sorry.” Nik said, noticing Natsuki was tearing up. Just them the bus pulled up to their stop, and both of them had to get off.

Natsuki just shrugged and watched as other people disembarked the bus, and stood up once the crowd was gone.

Nik stood up, walking outside, and to his house, making sure Nat followed.
