After school, Nat walked to the back of her cafeteria after stuffing her things in her locker to meet Nik. -
Nik was at the cafeteria, waiting to Natsuki.

When she noticed him, she smiled and asked in sign language, "how are you?", remembering she'd taught him it a few days before.

Nikolai grinned, remembering what the sign meant. “I’m good, how about you?”

Nat gave a thumbs up, grinning.

“That’s good.” Nik said, walking to the direction of the bus, looking behind him to make sure that Nat was following.

Nat followed him towards the where the bus was parked and fell into step beside him.

Nikolai walked in the bus, trying to find a seat that no one else was occupying. He eventually found one in the middle, and sat down by the window, making sure there was room for Nat.

Natsuki sat down next to him, leaning against the back of the seat.

Nik watched through the window as the scenery passed through, not knowing what to do.

Nat leaned her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes tiredly.

Nik smiled, playing with a strand of Natsuki’s hair, being careful not to pull on it and hurt her.

Natsuki was half-assed when the bus jerked to a stop, and she snapped awake sleepily. She rubbed her eyes but didn't sit up straight again - it wasn't their stop.

“You can go back to sleep, our stop isn’t for a while.” Nikolai said, still playing with a strand of Nats hair gently.

Natsuki closed her eyes again, for some reason very sleepy. She had fallen asleep late the previous night, that was obviously part of it. The other part maybe being a tough gym lesson
