Nat shut the door behind them, and noticed a note addressed to Nik taped to it. She took the note and gave it to Nik, figuring it wasn't hers to read.

(Crap my brain juices are dead, what should the letter be about?)

Something explaining his parent's disappearance of maybe something connected to Nat's family or something) -
(Aight)
Nikolai read through the note.
Nik, me and your dad are both going to a foster care center. They’re saying that there’s a missing girl that they need to find, and we have to look for her.

Nik gasped slightly. “Nat, I think this letters talking about you.” He whispered, stunned. -
Nat took the letter and read over it, but her mind couldn't process it the first time, so she read it again. Her eyes widened and she looked back up at Nik, both confused and terrified.

“It’s ok.” Nik whispered, trying not to act as terrified as he felt. “I won’t let them find you.” -
(alrighty)
Natsuki nodded once, though knew he couldn't protect her forever. She looked back down at the note, reading it again just to make sure it was real. -
Nikolai brushed a tiny strand of Nats hair out of her face. “Come on, let’s go in my room.” He suggested, worried that his parents would show up.

Natsuki nodded and followed Nik into his room, still holding the note. She ran her fingers along the corners and swallowed nervously, sitting on his bed.

Nik slid his hand into Natsuki’s, and squeezed her hand comfortingly. “You look tired, maybe you should get some sleep.” He offered, laying down on the bed.

Natsuki lay down next to him though didn't sleep, and set the note on the bedside table next to her.

Nik squeezed Natsuki’s hand, then massaged it gently with his fingers.

Natsuki gave a small smile and rolled onto her side so that she was facing him.

“What’re you thinking about?” Nik asked softly, still massaging Nats hand.

Nat just shrugged and gave a weak smile, leaning into Nik a little.
