Natsuki followed close behind, careful not to make too much noise as she walked.

Nikolai walked out of the house, making sure Nat was following him before walking any further to the park.

They walked down the streets, and it being a small country town it didn't take long for them to reach the park. It was a nice field with an old and probably unstable playground and a few picnic tables.

Nikolai, who was way too old and tall to be playing in the playground, sat on one of the picnic table benches.

Nat sat next to him and watched some of the little kids play in the playground, a small smile on her face.

Nik grinned as he watched some of the kids play, remembering how he used to play there years ago, when he was a little kid.

The little kids reminded Nat of when Xiao and her were small enough to play in the playground. The faint memory made her smile sadly. -
Nik looked over at Natsuki, and saw her smiling sadly.
“Um…… what should we do?” He asked softly, slightly bored. -
Natsuki shrugged, glancing up at Nik.

Nik looked at the sky. The sun was just barely starting to set, and it looked beautiful.

Natsuki followed his gaze up to the sky, the clouds a wonderful orange-pink and the sky itself a ray of colours.

“It’s so pretty.” Nikolai whispered softly, laying down on the bench.

Natsuki rested her chin on her hands and her elbows on the table, responding with a small nod, still looking up at the sky.

“So what do you wanna do?” Nik asked as the sun kept setting, and it got darker.

Nat shrugged, still looking up at the sky as the colours slowly faded and there was only a strip of orange on the horizon.
