"That is not true," Ander protested with a look of offense. "Crypta, tell her that isn't true."
Crypta silently slid a mug across the counter, filled it with coffee, and sipped it. -
"Looks like she's taking my side," Kenna said with a smug grin. Now that she thought about it, she was a bit surprised at how teasable Ander was. He oftentimes acted very analytical and closed-off. But here they were, laughing about him looking like a tea kettle. She liked Ander's laugh.

"Crypta, I am deeply offended and utterly betrayed," Ander responded dramatically.
"What? She's not wrong," Crypta protested, patting Robo's head when he came nosing around for more scraps of metal. -

Kenna shook her head with a smile and sat on the couch. She wasn't sure what to do. It wasn't quite lunch time yet, even. And laughing with Ander and Crypta didnt quite feel...right. It did feel right laughing with them, of course, but it didn't feel right laughing when they were in such a dire situation. A situation she had put them in.
-
Ander clapped his hands together. "Well if you two are going to gang up on me, I might as well go outside and make myself useful."
"Please do. You could do some fishing and wash off some of that grime while you're at it," Crypta replied, setting her empty mug on the table. -
Kenna was obviously going to stay behind. "What can I do?" she asked, looking up at Crypta from her spot on the couch.
-
Crypta leaned against the counter as Robo reached up onto the table and pawed at the jar of metal scraps. "Oh, I don't know. I won't ask you to babysit Ander since he'll be heading out of the invisible boundary. It's pretty dangerous out there." She swatted Robo's paw away from the jar. "On the other hand, there's not much to do around here other than tinkering."
-
"I could do some cleaning, maybe?" She suggested. Kenna certainly didn't want to be useless during her stay. Besides she owes it to Crypta for helping them out.

My plans rip))
Crypta thought for a moment, grinning. "Or you could come see the new thing I've been working on!" Robo huffed at the mention of Crypta's new invention, trotting over to Ander's side.
"I suppose I'll take Robo with me then. How would you like that, buddy?" Ander offered. Robo rolled onto his back, wiggling happily as his tail wagged and clanged against the floor. -
Kenna gave a small laugh. "Robo has a grudge against it already."
-
"He's been jealous from the day I printed it's blueprints," Crypta sighed. "Never was there such an opinionated robot."
Ander crouched down to give Robo belly rubs. "Our favorite sassy boy. He's got the most personality. I still wonder what you did to get him like this." -
Kenna hadn't realized before that it was strange that a robotic dog could have such a personality.
-
She looked over at Ander. "Can I come? I've never been fishing, I'm curious."
