GOSH DARN IT-))
It was a quiet day. A tall, pale boy with a mop of unkempt dark hair was reading a book in peace, sitting comfortably in a chair nestled snugly in one of the corners of his house. The crisp, rustling sound of a page turning. A peaceful, blissful, uninterrupted silence- Bzzt. Bzzt. Bzzt.
The boy's jade green eyes flicked up from the aged papers on which countless words were inscribed with dark ink, his sharp gaze fixated on a gently vibrating box. With a heavy sigh, he pulled himself out of his chair and unlocked the box, revealing a square, gray device inside. A tablet.
He lifted it up as the screen flickered with white light, glowing and coming to life. The tablet displayed the image and description of a girl, who could hardly be older than he was. Crippled, according to the words he was reading. An easy assignment for an assassin with a famed reputation like he possessed. An easy assignment for Ander Tuliso, the golden child of his division. He studied the words at the very end of the message, tensing as he read it.
We are counting on you, Ander. Do not fail us.
(Wrote like an entire book chapter haha-) -
(I'm so proud of you!)
Kenna dashed down the street as quickly as she was able to. She was tired from walking so far already, but when she realized that someone was following her, she sped up as fast as she could. She didn't recognize the figure behind her. He was still keeping a good distance away from her, but it looked like he was keeping pace with her so that he didn't lose her.
Kenna rounded a corner and tried to go even faster so that the man wouldn't reach her as quickly. She spotted a lonely house in front of her and rushed over. She frantically knocked on the door hoping somebody was home and could help her. -
XDD))
Finally wrote a decent starter ayoo))
Before he could get a decent look at the girl's picture, the sound of frantic knocking on his door startled him.
Ander jumped so hard at the knocking that he dropped the tab, every sense he possessed alert and wary. He cringed as the tab screen cracked, shoving it unceremoniously into the wooden box and fumbling to secure the lock. He cautiously cracked open the door, surprise washing over his face when he saw a girl who could hardly be any older than he was.
"Who are you, and what do you want?" Ander inquired, trying to hide his surprise. His voice was gentle and quiet, as if he were speaking in a tone barely above a whisper, but edged with alarm and uncertainty. -
(So much for reflexes lol)
"I - I'm sorry," Kenna said. Usually, when someone said something along those lines, they didn't want anyone to bother them no matter what the circumstance was. "Someone's following me," she said, looking up at him. She wasn't sure what expression was on her face. Maybe a mixture of fear of the man following her and hope that this person would help her? "Could you help me? I won't be a bother I can just stay until I'm sure he's gone I just need somewhere safe." She started to ramble a little, trying to persuade him.
Kenna looked behind her to see if the person following her was still behind her. She wasn't sure if it was fortunate or unfortunate that a fog had risen. It meant that he couldn't see her, but also that she couldn't see him. She looked back at the black-haired man. -
Lol true, he was already jumpy so he just AJSKS and dropped it))
Ander was rubbing his temples to try and soothe stress. If he did let her in, whoever was pursuing her would likely come after her, meaning he would get trouble he frankly didn't want. If he didn't let her in, he would lose track of her in the fog and waste lots of time finding her, if she WAS the person he was looking for.
He glanced around briefly with an alert expression on his face, before opening the door for her. "Come in, quickly."
