*smacks Rasia with a fly swatter*))
WAIT TAT YOU DID IT AGAIN LOL))
Ander had a brief moment of panic. If she was his target, he couldn't just let her walk out like that. If she wasn't...well, he wasn't sure what he'd do if she wasn't. "Are you sure it's safe outside?" he said cautiously. -
(I need to STOP)
KENNA walked over to the window and peeked through the pale curtains. "I don't see anyone," she said. -
XDD))
"If they're good enough at their job, you won't," Ander said softly. He heard his horse shifting nearby, tossing his head with the usual pride that the white stallion carried about him. -
"So what should I do, stay in this house forever?" Kenna asked, looking at him with a pointed look.
-
Ander pursed his lips, staring at her for a few moments. "Considering the fact that you could potentially be an axe murderer, no." He would shift the suspicion from him to her. After all, for all she knew, he was an innocent civilian. "But if they, whoever they are, has followed you to my house then they will be waiting."
-
A short laugh came from Kenna's mouth. Imagine, a crippled axe murderer. She'd have to have an amazingly strong left arm.
"Okay then," she said as she moved away from the window. -
Ander stole a glance out of the window, wondering who might be lurking out there in the foggy mist. A competitor? A lone assassin? Or worse...
...Could it be one of his own?
He quickly shoved the thought aside. It couldn't be. The facility foolishly trusted him, believed that he would always be their loyal lapdog. They wouldn't likely waste their resources on another. No matter how subdued he seemed, no matter how well he played the obedient servant, no matter how much control they thought they had, he would not be so easily conquered. -
Kenna sat back down at the table. She looked up at Andy. "Are you okay?" she asked, noting how stern his eyes had suddenly become and the slight clenching of his jaw.
-
Ander blinked a few times, his train of thought interrupted. He had almost forgotten she'd been there. He bit the inside of his cheek with a ruminative look on his face. "Yeah, just..lost in thought," he said, running a hand through his hair with a small sigh. "So I, uh, I don't know much about you at all. Care to tell me about yourself?"
-
"What do you want to know?" Kenna asked. "Past, interests, hobbies, what I'd do with a million dollars?"
-
Ander raised one eyebrow. "A million dollars? I'm intrigued," he said in a good-natured, playful tone. "Where would you even get that much money?"
-
"Maybe it's an alternate universe me," Kenna shrugged with a small smile. "First I would buy a better place, of course, make sure I was financially stable, and such. But onetime I saw this guy that made this huge underground maze. I want to do that except make it bigger and harder. There would be a bunch of spots where you could grab something to drink or eat and and vents and stuff so you don't die. And when you get out, you get a slice of cake."
-
"Wow. Sounds like you've thought this one through," Ander said with a slight eyebrow raise. He leaned over the table ever so slightly, resting his elbows on the scarred wooden surface. "I would do it, if it was really good cake."
-
She had thought this through, actually. It was something that was never going to happen, but it was a fun thing to wonder about. "It would be a big slice," Kenna said with an eager look in her eyes. One might compare her to a little kid whenever they talk about cake. "And I would make sure it's good cake and you can also choose the flavor you want."
-
Ander touched the tips of his fingers together, a mischievous grin on his face. "Any flavor I want, you say? That is too much power for one man."
