Cassie set her hand on his, stroking the back of his hand to try and calm him down. "Take some deep breaths," she murmured.
-
(Oh my goodness, that’s adorable. 🥺)
Porak heaved in a load of air and then dramatically pushed it back out, all the while staring the new person down. It was barely visible, but a small dust of pink was decorating his cheeks. Was Cassie stroking his hand? Was she trying to make him combust and start giggling like a high school girl in love? -
Cassie gave him a small smile and brought her hand back to her lap. "Feel better now?" she asked.
-
This time, the blush that used to be barely visible was more prominent and bold. Porak swiftly covered his cheeks with his hand, a soft gaze settling on Cassie's face.
"Y..Yeah, thanks.” Porak said, his voice slightly muffled by his hand. -
Various classes went by. And strangely enough the new werewolf guy was in each one of Cassie's classes. But soon enough it was lunch and Cassie and Porak walked together as they made their way to the lunch room.
-
Porak was sticking to Cassie’s side more than usual, even skipping some of his own classes to go to one of Cassie's. Of course, the teachers strongly protested against it and threatened him with a detention multiple times throughout the course of the day. Porak didn’t mind. Detention was an after school thing, not a thing that took place during school hours.
-
(There's also lunch detentions though)
"Why do you keep wanting to skip your classes and join mine?" Cassie asked. "Maybe it would be simpler to just request to change your schedule so you don't keep getting in trouble because of me." -
(WAIT THAT EXISTS-)
Porak made a show of dramatically exhaling a breath of air from his lips before he answered Cassie.
"I already asked for them to change my schedule, but they decided it wasn't the best idea because of what happened on the first day of school.” -
"Oh," Cassie said. "I guess I can see their logic." Just then they entered the cafeteria. Cassie started making her way to her table where she always ate lunch alone. She remembered what had happened the last time, where Porak had sat with her. It had ended up getting her caught in the crossfire of a fight. And Porak had acted so concerned for her. Her heart rose in her chest. She wondered if he'd sit by her again. Probably not. He had his friends and little gang to keep up on, he probably hadn't talked to them in a long time. He had been around them longer and would be more attached to them. It made sense for him to not sit with the likes of her.
-
(OHOHOHOHOOO, DOES SHE PERHAPS HAVE A LIL CRUSH? 👀)
Porak had reluctantly excused himself to go use the restroom, so this time he wasn't with her. Instead, she was by herself in the cafeteria.
That is, until the mysterious guy from earlier stalked over to her table and stood menacingly behind her as if she wouldn’t notice his sudden presence. -
Cassie looked behind her in confusion. "What is it?" she asked, trying not to get too weirded out that she keeps seeing the same guy over and over again.
-
The man smiled down at her without saying a word, placing his tray on the table, and then sat down next to Cassie. His meal consisted of a angus beef burger, the condiments of choice being honey mustard and ketchup. Melted cheddar cheese was squished in between the patty and the top bun, which completed the mouth-watering burger. He had a side of french fries and then a pasta salad. Lifting up his burger, he took a bite out of it and then promptly wiped his mouth with a paper napkin.
"Kris,” He finally said. -
(My mind immediately went to Kris Kringle)
Cassie raised an eyebrow. "Your name?" she asked, just to be sure he wasn't accidentally referring to something else or something -
(XDD)
"Yes, and yours?” -
"Cassie," she said. "Are you new here?"
