(Indeed, it is mister mysterious cloak >:D)
Donald set his newspaper down on the table to wave at his daughter.
“SHOW THOSE GRUMPS WHOSE BOSS!” He bellowed at the top of his lungs, a fist being thrown and waved around in the air. -
'Late late late late late I'm going to be late,' her mind scolded her as she rushed off to school. Luckily she made it to the school with a few minutes to spare. She took a breath and went over to the drinking fountain so that she didn't take from the supply in her water bottle.
(Wait a random thought crossed my mind.
Drinking fountains for vampires
Imagine that
I don't like the thought of that) -
Porak approached her, his hands waving around frantically in the air. He crashed into Cassie and enveloped her in a hug.
"You were incredibly late today! I missed you.” He exclaimed, with a little pout. -
Cassie was expecting to freak out when he wrapped his arms around her. She was expecting for herself to thrash against him with memories clouding her vision.
Yet strangely enough she felt comfortable in his arms. She felt cared for.
"Yeah, well, I don't want to be late for class," Cassie said, "Let's go."
Suddenly her eyes caught on to a flourish of a somewhat familiar gray cloak. She couldn't place who it was, though. "Who's that?" she asked. -
"Hm?" Porak unravelled his arms from around Cassie's torso and looked around for the guy she had mentioned. When his eyes fell upon the cloaked figure, he went stiff. A frown tugged the lines of his mouth downwards. Deciding to ignore the matter, he turned around to face Cassie and gave her a bright smile.
"Probably a new student! But that doesn't matter, does it? We need to head to class anyway.” -
Cassie nodded. She went in the direction of her class, hoping that Porak had given up on following her to every place and carrying her around like a doll.
-
Vampires are very smart. They can read emotions and actions quite well when the sun isn't glaring on their face. Porak, despite having a gut feeling that Cassie may not want him tagging along with her everywhere, fell right into step besides Cassie.
"What class do you have first?” He inquired. -
"History," she said. She looked up at him suspiciously. "So you're not going to pick me up and carry me around like a ragdoll everywhere again?"
-
"Oh?” Porak leaned in closer to her face and winked. "I can play the role of prince charming if that's what you're asking?”
-
Cassie rolled her eyes. "I just don't want to cause such a commotion. Besides, you never answered my question about how you kept calling me yours."
-
"Well,” Porak started, a bit hesitant on approaching the topic. "Remember how I bit you the first day? I had the intent of claiming you, but I couldn’t because I was caught red-handed. However, when a vampire bites someone, it’s like marking them as their territory. Not quite, though, since I haven’t claimed you. It’s like a dog using the bathroom on a fire hydrant and then another dog doing the same thing. So, you could be anybody’s territory as long as they claim you.”
-
Cassie scrunched her face up in confusion. "I'm a fire hydrant?"
-
"Did you want to a nest?”
-
* to be a nest
-
Cassie blinked. "What?"
