"What the- you never mentioned that!" she exclaimed. -
"You should've read the contract, darling," Lucifer said. "No way out now."

Jewel freaked out and grabbed the contract, preparing to rip it to shreds. Her heart dropped once she realized that it couldn't be destroyed.

Lucifer gave an evil laugh and vanished from Jewel's mind

Jewel immediately woke up, guilt washing over her.

"Jewel," Adrian said, holding her by the shoulders. "Please tell me you didn't." Worry was written all over his face

"I didn't." she lied, not wanting to upset him more than she already had.

Adrian shook his head, knowing that she was lying. "I can't believe this," he whispered to himself.

Jewel started to panic. She thought Adrian hated her. She got out of the bed and raced out of the room, passing Henry and Kendril when she ran out.

Kendril and Henry walked to where Adrian was. "Whay.happened?" they asked.
"Jewel – Jewel is in a deal with Lucifer," Adrian said.
