"What do you mean...?" she asked, a little upset.

"He lied when he said he first knew you at the bridge," Lucifer said.
Suddenly the two of them were flashing through Jewel's memories as a child. Jewel was making ice crystals flow from her hands.
"A child with such a boundless imagination," Lucifer said.
And there was Adrian, peeking out from behind a tree looking at the young Jewel. His hair was a little longer but it was definitely Adrian. -
Jewel was dumbstruck by this. "But t-that can't be true. I learned how to use my powers just a few months ago." she said.

"It's easiest as a child," Lucifer explained. "And then as you grew up and became more practical you thought it was just your silly little imagination as a child.

"So you're saying that Adrian lied to me?" she asked, her face becoming dark.

"He did," Lucifer said. Look back there behind the tree."

Jewel moved over to the tree and looked.

As these were Jewel's memories, no one in them could see either Jewel or Lucifer in them. There indeed, behind the tree was Adrian watching over Jewel.

"So then Lucifer... what was that offer you were talking about?" she asked, not sure of what to do at that point.

"You join me," Lucifer started

"On one condition, you have to bring Max back to life." she said.

There was suddenly a sheet of paper in Lucifer's hand and a pen made of bone in the other.
Meanwhile, Adrian was trying to.shake Jewel.awake, trying to make her not.sign it. -
"First promise to bring Max back to life." Jewel said, about to stop the deal altogether if he didn't promise.
(Can Lucifer bring people back to life?) -
"We both sign the contract," Lucifer said. "It has the conditions of both sides on it."

Jewel sucked in a breath and wrote her name on the contract. "Now when will you bring Max back to life? I want him now." she demanded.
