He took her by the shoulders and led her outside. Once Jewel was in front of the graves he took the shovel and started covering the mother with dirt first.

Jewel sucked in a breath of air and looked at her mothers face for the last time.

After awhile she was covered up and Adrian moved on to Max.

Tears stung in Jewels eyes when she saw her brother getting buried. This had been one of her worst fears. Losing someone she cared about.
A while back when her mother started drinking, she had promised to protect Max. Now she felt horrible that she broke her promise. -
Adrian said nothing to hee thoughts, only continued burying the two family members.
It was dawn by the time they went back to the hotel. -
"I'm going to bed." she said, exhausted from the night they had.

Adrian nodded. "You have blood on you," he said. "You should probably take a shower first. Otherwise room service is going to be wondering what happened."

Jewel nodded and walked to her room. She took a shower and climbed into bed, immediately falling asleep as soon as her head touched the pillow.
She woke up in the dark room again. Jewel sighed. "Come out." she mumbled. -
"So," Lucifer said. "Mighty unfortunate thing that happened."

Jewel said nothing. She only stared at him blankly.

"And it's all Adrian's fault," Lucifer sneered.

"How?" she asked, very confused at how it was his fault.

"If he hadn't taken you away you would have been there to protect your little brother," Lucifer said, showing an image of Max.

Jewels eyes widened and a tear ran down her face. "G-good point, but he didn't know Max would get killed." she stammered.

Lucifer knew she was starting to weaken. "Adrian hasn't been entirely truthful to you either," he said.
