Myriad made a quiet rumbling sound "i guess it is. The moon isnt as harsh as the sun, though a i do prefer the latters warmth

"I'm always too busy or too tired to really appreciate things like this," Kiri said softly. "But now I can look at it all I want."

Myriad paused a little at that, before setting his head down in thought

Kiri leaned back and stared at the window. Maybe being kidnapped wasn't so awful after all. It seemed more like an outing with friends.

Myriad rumbled softly, and then got out some wood chips to snack on

"Why do you eat wood?" Kiri asked.

Myriad blinked at him "because its easy to get ahold of, and i usually dont get in trouble if some twigs vanish" he said with a shrug

"But wood doesn't taste very good," Kiri protested.

He shrugged "not to you maybe. My magic is fire based, and im adapted for eating flammable objects because of it. Woods not great, but its not horrible either

"Hmm. Well, I didn't know that," Kiri said. Kate shifted and seemed to be dreaming.

"I dont see why you would" myriad said, chewing on a bit of wood

Kiri nodded. "Touché."
Kate woke up, breaking out in a cold sweat. She whipped her head around frantically, clenching the blanket in her fists. When she saw Myriad and Kiri, she relaxed. "Sorry. It's just...nightmares." -
Myriad whipped around to look at her, the markings carved into his back lighting up with dark orange light as he instinctively got ready to fight a threat. He relaxed a little when she spoke, nodding in understanding as his wings lowered

Kiri had been alarmed at her sudden awakening but began to ease back into a calm mindset. "What kind of nightmare?" he asked, wrapping the blanket around her and making her look like a distressed burrito.
"Fighting nightmare," Kate said, calmer with the comfort of the blanket burrito. "I don't usually sleep well." -
Myriad scooted over and wrapped his wings around her like a bat
