"Pointy," Kate explained. "They look clean."

Myriad just blinked at her "ok?"

Kate, satisfied with herself, closed her eyes and curled up underneath a blanket.

Myriad watched her till she was asleep, and then set his head down to rest

The moon rose, shining silvery light over everything it could touch. The stars shone just like they had not so long ago, that fateful evening when Kate and Myriad had first met.

Myriad shifted his gaze over to the window the watch the moon, keeping his wings over the two humans protectivly

Kiri had woken up earlier, keeping quiet so as not to awaken the two. Now that he saw Myriad was up, he got into a sitting position.

Myriad twisted his head to look at him, chirping quietly

"Yeah, I'm up," Kiri said, glancing out of the window. "It's odd to see the moon instead of the sun."

Myriad tilted his head "is it?" He asked quietly, keeping his voice low to avoid waking Kate

Kiri nodded, mimicking Myriad by lowering his voice to a whisper. "I usually wake up and see the sun. It's been a while since I've seen the moon like this."

"...hu. Weird" myriad said softly,gently kneeding the blanket again

"Why? Do you see the moon regularly?" Kiri asked, wrapping a scrap of cloth around his shoulders to help ward off the slight chill.

Myriad nodded a little. He noticed Kiri's action and stretched out a wing to cover hin, practicaly radiating heat

"Thanks," Kiri said with a small smile. He tucked the blanket closer around Kate before looking back up at the window. "It must be nice to see the moon that often. It's beautiful."
